Frank J. Omowale Satterwhite

Frank J. Omowale Satterwhite, Ph.D., is an acclaimed community-building specialist with more than 40 years of experience providing consulting services in communities of color and other underserved communities. He is currently the President of Leadership Incorporated, a nonprofit management consulting firm whose mission is to build capacity for social change in BIPOC communities. Omowale’s previous experience includes serving as President of the National Community Development Institute, Community Development Institute, and Institute for the Study of Community Economic Development. He has provided technical assistance to more than 1,200 organizations in 43 states during his career.

Omowale has a Ph.D. from Stanford University, an MA from Southern Illinois University, and a BA from Howard University. He has also received numerous awards for his professional and public service, including a Kellogg Foundation National Fellowship and community service awards from the National Council of Negro Women, Peninsula Community Foundation, and KQED Television. In 2022, Omowale was inducted into the Black Legends Hall of Fame Silicon Valley.
