As 2025 has begun, we’ve found ourselves already navigating a turbulent start to the year. The horrendous New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans, the devastating fires in Southern California, and the dramatic political shift and accompanying attack on empathy, immigrant communities, and equity all serve as stark reminders of the challenges we face in this nation. These moments test our resolve, but they also reaffirm the importance of our collective work to build a more just and compassionate world.
Despite these trials, hope continues to emerge in the form of creative and bold leadership from those committed to transformative change. Together, we are finding opportunities in this moment—opportunities to rebuild, to support one another, and to envision a future shaped by our shared values.
